DURHAM, N.C. – Duke freshman forward Zion Williamson has been named a finalist for the 2019 Karl Malone Power Forward of the Year Award, presented by the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame.
Williamson is second in the ACC in scoring with an average of 21.6 points per game, while leading the conference in field goal percentage (.683) and steals (2.2). On pace to set both the ACC and Duke freshman records for field goal percentage, Williamson's .683 marks ranks second in the NCAA.
The Spartanburg, S.C., native is third in the conference rebounds (8.
