Over all, ACC offenses have improved,but everyone has the occasional bad half. And then there's BC.
Scoring is up in the ACC and, apparently, throughout college basketball. However, the statistical picture will need to be refined when the season is over in order to get a more accurate picture. We’ll need to separate early games when officials emphasized the elimination of defensive tactics that unfairly impede offensive play from the less restrictive way the action has been governed more recently.
Regardless of how officials administer the game, strikingly low scoring halves have not been banished. Already there have been eight contests this season in which ACC teams went through an entire period scoring fewer than one point per minute.
