GREENSBORO, N.C. — Junior Matthew Whelan swam a career-best 46.91 in the 100 butterfly to highlight the third day of the 2021 NCAA Swimming & Diving Championships on Friday at the Greensboro Aquatic Center in Greensboro, N.C.
Whelan's time of 46.91 in the 100 butterfly tied Michael Miller's time for the fourth-fastest in program history.
Two Blue Devils are set to compete during the final day of the 2021 NCAA Championships as Whelan will take on the 200 butterfly and freshman will make his NCAA debut in platform diving.
