We’ve always been Duke fans first and foremost but ACC basketball in general holds a powerful sway around here. When a really promising player shows up at another school, we’re always curious and excited to see just how good he is.
And so it is with Dennis Smith.
State’s freshman point guard is immensely promising. He’s recovering from a high school ACL injury but clearly he’s immensely talented and more importantly, highly driven.
He’s compared in this article to Russell Westbrook, but we’re more curious about who to compare him to psychologically. Of course talking is one thing and doing another.
