When Steve Forbes moved from ETSU to Wake Forest, he realized that recruiting JUCOs wouldn’t be wise or acceptable.
That really doesn’t matter much anymore since you can recruit the secondary market and can get some transfers who are immediately eligible.
That’s not obvious yet with his latest recruit: Daivien Williamson, who played high school ball in Winston-Salem (we’re not sure if he is from Winston or not) before joining Forbes in Johnson City, will be coming back to reunite with his old coach.
We’ll have to see if he can get a waiver to play this fall but at least the Demon Deacons have enough players to practice: there are now just three scholarships available, which puts Wake back to where it was when Marcus Watson decommitted.
