Vernon Carey Jr. has officially declared for the NBA Draft according to Duke Athletics.
Carey was the ACC & National Freshman of the Year while averaging 18 pts, 8 rebounds, 1 ast, and 1.5 blk per game in his lone season in Durham.
He is currently projected to be selected anywhere from the lottery to late first round in the upcoming draft.
