DURHAM, N.C. – After the conclusion of the 2017 NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships, the All-America honors were announced Monday by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).
First-team honors went to those athletes from individual events and relay teams that finished first through eighth, while those who finished ninth through 16th nabbed second-team billing. Honorable mention was given to those who finished 17th through 24th.
Rookie Katelyn Gochenour received first team All-America accolades with a sixth-place finish in the women's javelin competition.
Senior Madeline Kopp led the Blue Devils with two All-America honors, including one in the 800m and as a member of the 4x400m relay.
