HONG KONG - The United States continued its near flawless run with victories over Puerto Rico (28-4) and China (29-1) as the U.S. advances to the playoffs at the 2024 World Lacrosse Women's U20 Championship.
Sophomore Caitlin Barrett tallied one goal against both opponents on Saturday and Sunday. She now owns six goals and an assist for seven points over the championship.
The U.S. is vying with Canada and Australia for the top overall seeds in the playoff bracket, and has one game remaining against Israel on Tuesday.
So far, the United States has given up five goals, while Canada has conceded six to Australia's 16 — after goal differential, which is capped at 12 per game, the next tiebreaker in seeding is goals allowed.
