GRENOBLE, France – The annual Master’U BNP Paribas International College Team Competition finals will feature a rematch between the United States and Great Britain following Team USA’s 6-1 victory over Ireland in the semifinals Saturday in Grenoble, France.
Duke women’s tennis freshman Maria Mateas continued her strong performances Saturday at the No. 1 singles position. The Chapel Hill, N.C., native defeated Julie Byrne (4-6, 6-2, 6-4) before teaming up with UCLA’s Jada Hart for a dominant 8-1 win over Amy Bowtell and Sinead Lohan.
The Master’U BNP Paribas will conclude Sunday with the finals of singles and doubles competition as the United States looks to capture gold.
