During UNC’s massive academic fraud scandal and its aftermath, one of the things we’ve talked about is how far the talk of what used to be know as The Carolina Way and the reality of what happens at UNC is.
The reality is that nothing at UNC is more important than athletics. Athletes get credit for non-existent classes and UNC shamelessly, even if correctly, resists NCAA punishment (a mildly repentant institution would not have gone to the mat to avoid being held accountable).
