Before they become teammates at Duke this fall, sophomore Azurá Stevens and incoming freshman Angela Salvadores will have to play against each other in their very first game of the 2015 FIBA U19 World Women’s Basketball World Championships.
The United States and Spain will be competing in Group B in the international basketball tournament along with China and Egypt for seeding in the Round of 16 to advance to the semifinals. Stevens and Team USA are set to go against Salvadores and the Spanish national team this Saturday July 18th at 1:15.
Rising sophomore Azurá Stevens had a great freshman year for the Blue Devils, earning All-ACC Freshman Team and All-ACC Second Team honors.
