DURHAM, N.C. – Former Blue Devil standout and current Duke volunteer assistant coach Ashley Twichell has been selected to the 2015-16 USA Swimming National Team, earning a spot on the U.S. roster for the fifth consecutive year.
Twichell was named to the roster in the open water 10K after representing the U.S. in open water events at this summer’s FINA World Aquatic Championships in Kazan, Russia. The 2011 Duke graduate placed sixth overall in the women’s 5K race at the World Championships (59:10.0) and crossed the finish line ninth in the 25K event (5:20:20.
