DURHAM, N.C. - Twelve of Duke's intercollegiate athletic programs were honored Wednesday with NCAA Public Recognition Awards. The awards are presented annually to teams finishing among the top 10 percent of their respective sport based on the most recent multi-year Academic Performance Rate (APR).
The most recent APRs are multiyear rates based on scores from the 2012-13, 2013-14, 2014-15 and 2015-16 academic years.
Duke's 12 programs that received the honor include football, men's basketball, men's fencing, women's fencing, men's golf, women's golf, men's lacrosse, women's lacrosse, women's cross country, women's soccer, women's track and field and volleyball.
