Perhaps somewhat overshadowed by the heartbreaking 17-16 overtime loss to the Tar Heels Friday night was senior Myles Jones’ 11-point performance. He matched his career-high five goals and added a career-best six assists to tie the Duke single-game record for points. The last time a Duke player registered 11 points was in 2010 when Ned Crotty and Max Quinzani did so in the same game. The 11 points, the most by an ACC player this season, pushed him atop Duke’s scoring charts this season with 51 points and extended his lead as the nation’s active leader in career points with 212.
