DURHAM, N.C. – When the U.S. Under-19 Women’s National Team kicks off its 2016 programming with a 26-player camp in Lakewood Ranch, Fla., this weekend it will feature a Blue Devil feel with a trio of Duke women’s soccer players set to head South. Sophomore goalkeeper EJ Proctor, sophomore forward Imani Dorsey and freshman Kayla McCoy received the call to train with U-19 squad from Jan. 23-30.
The camp will be run by U.S. Soccer Development Coach Jitka Klimkova. All the players in this age group are eligible for the team that will participate in the 2016 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup to be held in Papua New Guinea, and will by trying to make an impression to get called into U-20 camps prior to the World Cup, which is not until November of this year.
