DURHAM, N.C.—A trio of Blue Devils is among the 50 players selected to the 2019 Tewaaraton Award watch list as announced by the Tewaaraton Foundation Thursday night. Junior JT Giles-Harris and seniors Brad Smith and Cade Van Raaphorst represent Duke on the prestigious list.
Duke’s three players recognized are the second most of any program, trailing Yale’s four picks. It is the second consecutive year Van Raaphorst has been among the 50 nominees, while Smith and Giles-Harris earn the nod for the first time.
Smith, playing a new position at attack after spending three years in the midfield, is arguably who makes Duke’s offense run smoothly.
