BURLINGTON, N.C. – Juniors Andrew Bieber and Alexander Matlari recorded top-20 finishes and sophomore Ben Silverman finished in a tie for 43rd as the trio wrapped up the Elon Phoenix Invitational, where they played as individuals, on Tuesday.
Bieber led off the tournament with an even-par 71 and followed up with rounds of 74 and 72 on his way to a 217 (+4), while Matlari shot 73-72-72 for the tournament to also finish with a total of 217 (+4). The duo tied for 14th place, marking the first career top-20 showing for Bieber and the seventh for Matlari.
