DURHAM, N.C. – Duke sophomore midfielder Sophie Jones has been named to the TopDrawerSoccer.com Women's Preseason Best XI Second Team heading into the 2021 spring season.
Players selected to the Best XI teams must be eligible and plan on playing in the upcoming spring campaign. The teams reflect the games played in the fall of 2020 and the expectations for the spring of 2021.
Jones started all 13 games during the fall season and averaged over 75 minutes per contest. The Menlo Park, Calif., native displayed her offensive capabilities early on, tallying both of her assists on the year in the season opener at Wake Forest on Sept.
