NEWTON, Mass. – The 13th-ranked Blue Devils matched top-ranked Boston College goal for goal through most of the first half and again early in the second but ultimately fell to the Eagles by a 20-12 score Saturday at Newton Campus Lacrosse Field.
Duke’s defense held a high-scoring Boston College attack to just seven tallies through the contest’s opening 26 minutes, keeping the squad within striking distance, but struggled to slow the Eagles (14-0, 5-0 ACC) in the second half. The Blue Devils dropped to 8-5 on the season and 2-3 in ACC action with the loss.
