DURHAM, N.C. – Redshirt senior Lauren Blazing, junior Robin Blazing and freshman Morgan Bitting have been named 2015 Zag Field Hockey/NFHCA Division I Scholars of Distinction, as announced by the National Field Hockey Coaches Association Wednesday. Duke’s three selections marked a record high for the program and led all ACC institutions.
The 80 student-athletes named Scholars of Distinction achieved a cumulative GPA of 3.90 or higher through the first semester of the 2015-16 academic year.
A cultural anthropology and political science major, Lauren Blazing received the academic recognition for the fourth consecutive season.
