AUBURN, Ala. – With four birdies over the final three holes, the fifth-ranked Duke women’s golf team closed in tied for third in the opening round of the Evans Derby Experience, which is being played at the 6,280-yard, par 72 Auburn University Club.
Florida State opened with a 10-under-par, 278, Sunday and leads by two strokes over Arkansas (280). Auburn (285), Duke (285), South Carolina (286), Alabama (288), Florida (292), Wake Forest (293), Louisville (295) and Ole Miss (297) rounded out the top 10.
The Blue Devils kicked off the day with a four-under ledger on the first nine, which were holes 10-18.
