LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Redshirt senior Shaun Thompson capped his collegiate cross country career Saturday, racing to a 95th-place finish in a field of 252 competitors at the NCAA Cross Country Championships in Louisville, Ky. Thompson clocked a 10-kilometer time of 30:55.2 on the E.P. ‘Tom’ Sawyer course.
Thompson, a week removed from a second-place finish at the NCAA Southeast Regional Championships, took the start for the second national championships of his Duke cross country career. After passing the two-kilometer mark in 112th, Thompson advanced through the field, placing himself in the top 50 at the midway point in the race, before closing out the contest in 95th.
