- 1996 – Men's Soccer – The Dallas Burn made its MLS debut with former Blue Devils Jason Kreis and John Kerr. Kreis started 29 of 31 games in 1996, scoring 13 goals and five assists in the inaugural season. He went on to play nine seasons with the Dallas Burn and earned MLS MVP honors – the first American born player to do so – after he led the league in goals and points. Kerr played in 12 games with 10 starting assignments for the club that season and had three goals and an assist.
