It’s probably happened before in the NBA. In fact, given the five Jones brothers of the 70s, the best of whom was Caldwell who most famously played for the 76ers, it’s almost bound to have.
But for Dukedom, for the Brotherhood, brothers facing off in the playoffs? Maybe two of the Plumlees did at one point. Certainly it can’t be a common thing for any set of NBA brothers.
That’s what happened Wednesday night though as Tre Jones and his San Antonio Spurs met big brother Tyus and his Memphis Grizzlies in the play-in game to reach the traditional playoffs.
