DURHAM, N.C. – The Duke football program has tried to maximize potential of its student-athletes by getting them the proper amount of food, hydration, weight training, cardio work and coaching. An often overlooked area the Blue Devils have also tried to hone in on is receiving the correct amount of sleep each night.
Coach David Cutcliffe’s Duke Football Show spoke with Dr. James B. Maas about the importance of sleep and how much a student-athlete should get on a nightly basis. Maas, a leading authority and international consultant on sleep and performance, is CEO of Sleep for Success.
