Even in the beginning of his career, Duke’s Mike Krzyzewski has always embraced a concept that has come to be known as positionless basketball.
A while back, Pitt coach and former Duke player and assistant Jeff Capel kind of clarified the philosophy when he said he only saw one position on the court: point guard.
And at Duke, while Coach K has had 6-5 post players and 6-9 guards, centers who could shoot threes and guards who rebounded well, always letting guys play to their strengths and team needs, he has always wanted point guards who could run his team well.
