Jacki,
Within my highly unfiltered New York speak, please allow me to convey, first and foremost, that on this particular day I find myself feeling terribly schizophrenic!
Jacki, if I dare utilize the descriptor "pioneer," within our wacko sub-sector, it may conjure up a vision not unlike "Little House on the Prairie." However, you were indeed a supreme leader within an almost nonexistent cohort that can easily be described as "first movers," surrounded by a ridiculously traditional, majority represented class of white males. Of course, back in the day, all of which were recovering coaches.
Back to the dual reaction within this moment, I am disappointed that this particular "series" will indeed be canceled after 41 phenomenal seasons; but, in the same breath, I very much want you to enjoy a next "well deserved" chapter, wherein your life's work will be highly celebrated, if not burn ever so deeply as your extraordinary legacy at Duke, the ACC and the NCAA.
