DURHAM — Following five seasons as a member of the Duke women's basketball staff, Director of Scouting and Analytics Ted Kim has accepted an assistant coach position with the Seoul Samsung Thunders of the Korean Basketball League, the organization announced. Kim is the first Korean non-former player to become an assistant coach in the KBL.
"I am excited to embark on my first journey as a basketball coach," said Kim. "For someone with my background, coaching wasn't initially considered as a career option. So, obtaining this title means a lot to me. I'm thrilled to be part of another elite institution and to coach in a great city that I consider home.
