DURHAM, N.C. – During its third season, Duke softball was off to its best start in program history with a 23-4 record, including its first win over a ranked opponent as the Blue Devils took down fourth-ranked Texas.
Head coach Marissa Young and the Blue Devils closed out the 2020 season to improve to 77-62 over the past three years. Duke went 1-2 in ACC action, playing Notre Dame in what would be its only league series of the campaign. Following the loss against the Fighting Irish, the Blue Devils went on a nine-game win streak.
