CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – Nearly a week after wrapping up the regular season in thrilling fashion, Blue Devil swimmers returned to Chapel Hill for the first day of the Janis Hape Dowd Nike Invitational at North Carolina’s Koury Natatorium.
In a strong start to Friday evening’s finals session, sophomore Carly Perri and freshman Shae Nicolaisen turned in a one-two finish in the women’s 500-yard freestyle. Nicolaisen stopped the clock at 4:55.90 in finals for her best mark of the season while Perri’s preliminaries time of 4:50.96 was good for a career best.
