DURHAM – Duke men's soccer sophomores Peter Stroud and Thorleifur Ulfarsson have been selected as All-Americans by United Soccer Coaches, as the organization announced Thursday.
Both players become the program's first All-Americans since Daniele Proch in 2018. Ulfarsson was named to the first team, the program's first since Andrew Wenger in 2011, while Stroud a third team selection. Stroud and Ulfarsson become the 37th and 38th All-Americans in program history.
In John Kerr's head coaching tenure in Durham, the Blue Devils have had nine individuals win at least one All-America distinction, with Stroud and Ulfarsson joining James Belshaw, Ryan Finley, Mike Grella, Sebastian Ibeagha, Proch, Wenger and Brian White.
