LAS VEGAS – Former ACC All-Freshman selection DJ Steward and the Sacramento Kings won the NBA summer league title on Tuesday night, culminating an impressive tournament for various Blue Devils looking to earn an NBA roster spot this season.
Overall, nine former Duke players took the court for their respective team – Jalen Johnson and Javin DeLaurier (Atlanta Hawks), Vernon Carey Jr. (Charlotte Hornets), Matthew Hurt (Houston Rockets), Cassius Stanley (Indiana Pacers), Steward (Sacramento Kings), Tre Jones and Justin Robinson (San Antonio Spurs) and Marques Bolden (Washington Wizards).
