DURHAM – Following Jalen Johnson's selection by the Atlanta Hawks in the 2021 NBA Draft Thursday, the Blue Devils added two more former players to the NBA as DJ Steward signed a training camp deal with the Sacramento Kings and Matthew Hurt inked a two-way contract with the Houston Rockets.
NBA training camps begin Tuesday, Sept. 28. Steward will train alongside fellow Duke standout Marvin Bagley III, who is set to enter his fourth NBA season with the Kings.
A 6-2 combo guard out of Chicago, Steward led all ACC freshmen in scoring during the 2020-21 season with 13.
