CHEKHOV, Russia – Led by 16 points and five rebounds from Duke University sophomore Azurá Stevens, the 2015 USA U19 World Championship Team improved to 2-0 Sunday with an 88-62 victory over China (0-2) in Chekhov, Russia.
Stevens, who is a product of Raleigh, N.C., collected 16 points, five rebounds and one assist in 17 minutes of play. The 6-5 wing hit 7-of-11 field goals and 2-of-2 treys in the contest.
Duke incoming freshman Angela Salvadores guided Spain to an 87-64 victory over Egypt as the guard erupted for a game-high 25 points on 12-of-20 field goals.
