CHEKHOV, Russia – Future Duke teammates Azurá Stevens and Angela Salvadores completed preliminary round action Tuesday in Chekhov, Russia at the 2015 FIBA U19 World Championship and will open round of 16 play Wednesday.
Stevens and the USA Basketball U19 women improved to 3-0 with a 104-41 victory over Egypt (0-3). A product of Raleigh, N.C., Stevens posted 10 points, eight rebounds and two blocked shots in the win.
A native of Leon, Spain, Salvadores collected a game-high 18 points, six rebounds and five assists as Spain dropped a 66-63 decision to China.
