RIVIERA MAYA, Mexico – Led by sophomore Azurá Stevens’ fourth straight double-double, the 15th-ranked Duke women’s basketball team downed Idaho, 74-68, Thursday afternoon to open the Cancun Challenge at the Hard Rock Hotel in Riviera Maya, Mexico.
The Blue Devils move to 4-1 on the season, while the Vandals suffered their first loss of the season falling to 3-1. Duke will next play Iowa State Friday, Nov. 27 at 1:30 p.m., in the second of three games in the Cancun Challenge.
Stevens finished the game with a game-high 22-points and 12 rebounds, while blocking three shots.
