DURHAM – No. 11 Duke softball (38-7, 17-3 ACC) used four home runs to power past Pittsburgh, 9-1, in six innings on Thursday night at Duke Softball Stadium.
Peyton St. George (20-3) allowed just one hit over six complete innings, striking out eight Panther (14-25, 2-18 ACC) batters. 10 different Duke batters recorded a hit in the win, as the Blue Devils tallied their 17th run-rule victory of the season.
The night started off on a high note, as Jameson Kavel singled and stole second base, while Rachel Crabtree reached on an error.
