DURHAM, N.C. – Duke track & field has earned its first representative for this year's Olympic Games, as Duke alumni Steven Solomon has been selected to represent the Australian National Team at the upcoming Summer Games in Tokyo, Japan.
Solomon is set to compete in the 400m for the second time, after competing in the 2012 Summer Olympic Games in London, United Kingdom as a 19-year-old prior to coming to Duke. Solomon becomes the first Blue Devil man to compete in the Olympics since Curt Clausen in the 50K racewalk at the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens, Greece.
