DURHAM – The Duke softball team dropped a 5-4 decision to Charlotte on Friday night in a fall exhibition game at Duke Softball Stadium. It was the first fall setback for the Blue Devils, who were 4-0-1 entering the contest.
NOTES
- The back-and-forth game saw Duke take a 1-0 lead in the second, strike for a 2-2 tie in the bottom of the third and grab a 4-2 lead in the fourth.
- Charlotte took the lead for good with a three-run home run in fifth.
