DURHAM, N.C. – The sixth-ranked Duke fencing team will travel to Boston, Mass., for the 2019 ACC Fencing Championships Feb. 23-24, hosted by Boston College at Conte Forum.
SETTING THE SCENE
- This will be the fifth conference fencing championship since its return as an ACC sponsored sport.
- The Duke men won the 2018 men’s team title, snapping Notre Dame’s three-year hold on the honor.
- North Carolina claimed the women's title with a dramatic win in the tiebreaker competition against the Irish.
- The Duke men own a season record of 18-5 (2-0 ACC) while the women are 19-6 (2-0 ACC) and will face Notre Dame, North Carolina and Boston College for the ACC title.
