HILTON HEAD, S.C. – Led by a bogey-free three-under-par, 68, Friday by Gurbani Singh, the Duke women’s golf team opened the Darius Rucker Intercollegiate in second place at the 6,160-yeard, Par 71 Pete Dye Course at Long Cove Club in Hilton Head, S.C.
Singh, who hails from New Delhi, India, carded three birdies on her way to matching a season-best round of 68, which is tied for first overall, individually. She is tied with Kristen Gillman of Alabama, Cheyenne Knight of Alabama and Sophia Zeeb in Arizona State.
As a team, Duke carded a two-over-par, 286, and trail Alabama by four strokes after the Tide signed for a two-under-par, 282.
