COLUMBUS, Ohio – Sophomore Ian Siebers fired a 1-under 70 in Wednesday's final round and Duke shot its lowest team score of the tournament, but the Blue Devils finished just five strokes shy of fifth place and failed to advance from the NCAA Columbus Regional.
Duke shot a 4-over 288 on Wednesday, paced by Siebers' 70 and 1-over 72 scores from sophomore Jimmy Zheng and freshman Kelly Chinn. The Blue Devils, who entered the day just three back off the final qualifying spot, finished at 15-over par for the tournament, which was good for eighth on a tightly packed team leaderboard.
