GREENSBORO, N.C. – Sophomore Emma Shuppert's school-record time of 51.89 in the 100 backstroke earned honorable mention All-America status as the Duke swimming & diving team concluded day three of the 2021 NCAA Swimming & Diving Championship on Friday at the Greensboro Aquatic Center in Greensboro, N.C.
Shuppert competed in her first NCAA event after also qualifying in the 100 backstroke a season ago prior to the championship being canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Her school-record time bested her previous career-best time of 52.34 at the ACC Championship last season.
