JOHNS ISLAND, S.C. – Boosted by an opening bogey-free round of seven-under, 65, Duke University incoming freshman Erica Shepherd turned in a fourth place finish at the Rolex Girls Championship at The Golf Club at Briar’s Creek in Johns Island, S.C.
Over the four days, Shepherd turned in rounds of 65, 77, 70 and 72 to finish with a four-under, 284. Shepherd, who is from Greenwood, Ind., led the field after day one with a seven-birdie output of 65. The second round was washed away so the golfers were forced to play 36 holes of golf Thursday.
