Fresh off of a successful Countdown to Craziness John Scheyer and the Duke staff has secured their first commitment of the 2024 class in sharpshooter Darren Harris. Harris is a 6’6 small forward out of Paul VI in Virginia. Duke fans will recognize Paul VI as the high school that produced both Jeremy Roach and Trevor Keels. Watching his form, it reminds me a bit of Cam Reddish and Gary Trent Jr. He’s not as athletic as Reddish or Trent but like both he can get to his shot rather quickly and cam come off of screens at a high level as well as side-step dribble to avoid defenders.
