Shane Battier could be on his way home. The Sun-Sentinel is reporting that Battier is being considered for a front office position with the Detroit Pistons. Battier, 39, is being viewed as a possible piece of a revamped Pistons front office, which is making changes in the wake of firing Stan Van Gundy last week as head coach and team president.
Battier has served as the director of basketball development and analytics for the Miami Heat since February 2017, a role that was created to bring him back to the franchise where he won 2 NBA titles with and ended his 13-year playing career in 2014.
