Redshirt junior guard Lexie Brown recently became the second Blue Devil this season to score over 1,000 career points in Duke’s 68-61 win over Elon Thursday. Brown led the Blue Devils to a win over the Phoenix with 25 points, six rebounds, and 2 assists.
Lexie Brown is competing in her first season with the Blue Devils after sitting out last year after transferring from Maryland. The 5-9 guard has started in every game for Duke and is averaging 17.0 points per game. Brown and redshirt junior guard Rebecca Greenwell, who also reached 1,000 career points earlier this season, have become one of the best duos in all of women’s college basketball.
