DURHAM – Duke junior left-handed pitcher Jonathan Santucci was tabbed as the ACC's Pitcher of the Week, following his career performance in the Blue Devils 6-0 victory over the Akron Zips on Friday.
The Leominster, Mass., native worked a career high six innings and punched out 14 batters as he improved to 3-0 on the season. Santucci enters ACC play leading the league in strikeouts with 31 and has yet to allow a run to score this season. Opponents are batting .169 off the lefty and has allowed 10 hits in his 17 innings this season.
