DURHAM, N.C.—Prior to attending Duke in August, incoming women’s basketball freshman Angela Salvadores will have a busy summer as she is expected to compete in the FIBA U19 World Championship and the FIBA U18 European Championship.
The FIBA U19 Women’s World Championship will take place from July 18-26 in Russia. Salvadores, who is a native of Leon, Spain, will go up against Duke rising sophomore Azurá Stevens and the United States in Spain’s first contest July 18. Next up for Salvadores and the Spain squad will be Egypt July 19 and China July 21 during the qualifying round.
