NEW YORK, N.Y. – For the 10th time out of the last 14 WNBA Drafts, a Duke University women’s basketball product has been selected as former guard Angela Salvadores was taken in the third round of the 2019 draft Wednesday by the Los Angeles Sparks.
With the selection by Salvadores, Duke has featured 25 WNBA Draft picks since 1999, which is the third-highest total among schools – Tennessee (40), Connecticut (34) and Duke (25).
Salvadores, who played at Duke during the 2015-16 campaign, competed in 29 contests, while making 15 starts. Injured at times during the season, Salvadores averaged 8.
